Van Build

Our name ‘Art and Freedom on the Road’ is about us on our van life journey in our self converted Mercedes Sprinter campervan.

We're from the UK and began our van life adventure in August 2018, we've since travelled through over 10 countries including Spain, Italy, The Netherland and Slovenia.

This blog is to document our adventure and share posts on how we built our van, van life hacks and tips on being eco.

Our Carbon Footprint

Van Build

As Earth lovers, we try our best to keep our impact on the environment to a minimum, that's why we're constantly researching and trying new things to be more sustainable. Please read our posts on Being Eco for more info.

As hard as we try, we're still let down by the lack of affordable alternatives that our society provides us to be fully carbon neutral, including our diesel van. That's why we pay a voluntary carbon tax to offset our carbon footprint and help us become carbon neutral. It's not the answer, but it's the best option until we can become fully eco.

In our first year on the road we calculated we created 5.38 tonnes of CO2e. Click the link below for more information and to calculate your carbon footprint.
